I would also suggest using one of the twitter apps such as hootsuite and segregating your followers into categories, such as real estate, news, funny, sports etc etc.

But honestly, having 20,000 followers and thinking you can actually engage people is crazy.

As Josh said establish quality relationships.

Had 2 clients buy from them recently, one has closed, other under contract. The contract terms were better than some other online REO auction companies IMHO. YMMV

I wonder what each state's real estate commission would have to say about an agent using that term instead of being upfront and saying I am a licensed agent?

The commission on the last REO I sold (representing the buyer less than 2 weeks ago) was $2000 to my company, the listing agent got around $1000. The contract price was $11,001. Multiple offers, went above asking, 72 DOM, originally listed at about $30K.

$500 EMD, my buyer would gladly have given more but they never asked so we did not offer. Often the listing specifies the minimum amount EMD, this one didn't so we just started at $500, expecting them to counter & ask for more.

We knew of this property as soon as it hit the MLS and had watched it. We waited until the bank got their heart right and lowered the list price to where it should have been to begin with. Could we have made the same offer on day one? Sure, but the bank & AM needed to see what the reality is regarding this property.

Most banks actually offer better commissions on the cheaper listings, usually it is a flat rate minimum of $1250.

If your offer is based upon recently sold comparable properties (reality), is it really lowballing?

Isn't any offer the starting point for negotiations?

I can honestly say that while it may not take much time to submit an unrealistic offer, some agents may percieve this as time that could be devoted to something more productive.

Yet, all written offers must be presented in my state. The laws in your area may be similar or different.

I strongly suggest that if you feel an agent has done something wrong to report it to the real estate commission or other similar authority in your area. Because every dirty agent that is driven out of my industry will just make it easier for an honest ethical agent to make a living. And the good agents will appreciate your help is achieving this.

It really bothered me to hear how the agent treated Ophelia. That should not happen and if agents really want to raise the bar, then they will not stand for such behavior. I hope she, and anyone else that was treated in such a manner would file complaints.

Rymer Realty does have a good ring to it so it should be easy to remember for consumers.

But will they get the spelling wrong when searching on google?

I would suggest that you avoid anything that even sounds remotely like another existing company.

Maybe something that for SEO purposes would benefit you if your website was named after your company?

Best wishes and good luck with your new company!

Seriously, I listened to a pretty good webinar by her on this very subject not too long ago. Good info for agents.

You should be able to change the "to" and reply address for a gmail account to use the professional looking address, yet retain the stuff you like about your gmail account.

Find out what your split will be, what the fees are. What else are you responsible for, such as signs?

What free training is there? Even if you are an investor/agent, there may be free training that you can use.

Good luck & best wishes.
