When naming your company is it harmful to use your name?

I’m going for my broker’s license and I’m trying to pick a name for my company. My fiancée says “Rymer Reality†would be good for a name, but I think using your own name is kind of tacky. I also feel it would hinder future growth somehow. I don’t want to become just some mom and pops real estate company. I want a name that can be marketable in the future.

I’m open to your opinions….

Sam - I actually like the name, and don't think it hinders your ability to expand. Now if you named it Rymer Boston Realty, I could see that being more of an issue.
