Hey Noam,

We're a large local PM company that services Indianapolis and central Indiana.  There are a lot of good areas to target and it's pretty spread out here as well so there's a lot to know.  We've created a blog on our website that breaks down a lot of these different areas that may be helpful to you.  Always happy to chat by phone if you're interested as well.

There are a lot of good comments here. Being in the Midwest, we've had a lot of attention from out of state investors.  Indy has experienced a ton of growth.  Whatever market you choose, make sure you assemble a local team that you are comfortable with prior to making your purchase.  Having local boots on the ground is essential in getting the information you need to make a good transaction.

I would connect with @Jake Knight.  Good luck!

 Thanks Mike - much appreciated!

This is a really strong market, we've seen a lot of growth. Echoing what others have said in the thread, Cbus is often mentioned in the same breadth as Indy.  Both cities have similar population as well. Being local, we've noticed the tech scene has really improved here over the last several years and we've seen a housing boom and net growth. No matter which market you choose, make sure you interview brokers experienced in working with investors and a good management company - if you choose that route. As some others have indicated here, it's become a pretty popular market to invest in so there are a lot of good folks that know what they're doing.

@Steve Do If I'm not too late to the party, I'd be happy to chat with you about this. We're a local PM and this is very common.  Happy to help if interested. Either way, best of luck!

Hi Marina,

This is a great time to visit our city! Bottleworks is a fun new/trendy area to stay and explore. Also, the Conrad downtown or the J.W. Marriott are also popular. I would suggest driving around to different areas of our city and make notes on areas that fit your model. Having an agent would also be helpful in doing that efficiently. What kind of properties are you looking to potentially buy? If you're targeting small MFH, you'll find more of those downtown and greater downtown areas. Just outside of the city is pretty suburban if you're looking into the SFH game. Happy to be a resource, please let me know if you have any questions.

@Steven Spinicchia Most of our clients fit the description you laid out here. As a local PM/Broker, I can provide you some insight into what our market offers.  Please DM if you're interested in chatting.

Congratulation!  A lot of our clients that are just starting out will start slow if it's their first investment property.  Once they gain comfort and experience with the process they buy more (if that's their goal).  Building a good team is really important in this process and you kind of need to go through the process to build that trust.  Good luck and congratulations!
