Awesome post Steve. I just rejoined BP today and this information still rocks.
Great job. So glad this is sticky so I could find it.
This post has a great deal of valuable information in it. Thank you for the compilation. This great information still over 10 years later.
Great List! Thanks for sharing!
Thank you! This post has already come in handy for me. Greatly appreciated!
At 300 votes now on the original post ... took over 7 years though ...
Steve this is great information!!! I sure need the help.
Hey there peeps! just saying thanks for all the advice!
Thank you Steve, even if though this was posted 8 yrs. Most of it would still be useful.
Awesome work Steve. This is what I was looking for.
Great thanks!!
Steve — thanks. May all of the generosity you showed (and spurred) in your original posts come back to you ten fold.
Thank you @Steve Babiak! I'm brand new to BP and getting educated about the various strategies for getting started. Many thanks for putting together the resources in your original post!
@Steve Babiak great information! Thank You!
Great post @Steve Babiak. Our two top methods for adding high volume cash buyers are the following.
1) Attending local real estate and landlord meetups. This was how we initially built our buyers list and where most of our repeat buyers have come from.
2) Reformat lists your purchase for sending direct mail such that you can see how many properties each person or entity on the list owns. For ever person or entity that owns over 10 residential/multifamily properties in your market skip trace to find that person's number and call them. This is a great way to talk to some big fish in your market who will purchase multiple properties a year from you
@Steve Babiak great list!
@Steve Babiak
Thank you for this information
@SteveBabiak Thank you. I'm reading all of this in 2019. Thumbs up if anybody else is reading this in 2019!
This is so knowledge filled and helpful. Thanks Steve!
Here's an idea I'm in the midst of implementing to find local active investors/buyers...
I'm using ReboGateway for their RE data. I'm doing a search in my target areas for recent purchases with absentee owners where the assessment value is greater than the purchase price. I'm comparing that data against the county records and other online resources to find contact information. I will then contact these people/companies, get to know them, and build my list.
@Steve Babiak hey it won’t let me access any of the info here. It says BP removed it. I’d love to see what was there

BP moderators went overboard by removing some of the links completely, rather than just individual posts that broke rules.
I can't do anything about that - complain to BP support to get the missing links fixed.
Best I can say is to try all the links and complain about the ones that don't exist any longer.
Remember that his thread was started over nine years ago too ...

The first 4 links work for me. How much information do you need.
What might have happened is Bigger Pockets is so popular sometimes the site gets bogged down and will no open a link. This is random and clicking the link a few minutes later often fixes the situation.

BP has made me so livid mad about removing my posts trying to help folks I've pondered deleting my profile and diverting all that time helping folks to my business! BP is way WAY over board!!! It makes no sense their deleting URLs to helpful businesses and tools! There needs to be alot ALOT more reasonability.
