What type of investing are you doing? If you are doing flipping, an LLC would be very beneficial as could have the dealer status allocated to it, and not to you personally. First property could be bought personal name and later transferred. Don't get caught up in all this too much and miss out on actually purchasing a deal. Begin speaking to CPA and lawyers, but mainly look for the deal and jump on it when one comes up!

@Mike B. We “flipped” several trucks so far! Usually buy on Copart, fix up a bit, use it, and sell when we don’t need it or get another.

@Damaso Bautista agreed. Be careful not to “over” rehab by checking comps and seeing what type finishes they have.
