@David Barker thanks for the investor friendly realtor recommendation.  I did reach out to Joseph.

@Paul Timmins thanks for the suggestions on finding property managers and possibly units. I've also been considering using the sellers agent. Glad to see this being discussed. Are there any steps outside our normal due diligence you would take to protect yourself When using the selling agent?

Welcome to BP @Diwas B.!! There is definitely alot to learn and lots of active Baltimore investors on BP.

I'm also learning.  One key point is Baltimore is block by block so don't think you can treat the entire zip code the same.

Welcome to BP @Telly Renfroe ! It's always great to see fellow Southern MD investors on the site.

This is a great place to network, learn and grow. Have you attended the REI Meetup in LaPlata on the 3rd Tuesday of the month? @Steve Cavanaugh is the host.

I also suggest setting up keyword alerts on BP if you haven't already.  I saw your post because I have them set up for "Waldorf" and "Charles County".

Cheers to our success in 2016!

Welcome to BP @Rashida Reid ! This is a great place to learn and grow. Folks are very helpful as you can see in this post. There are a lot of helpful Baltimore investors on the site too. Are you attending any of the Baltimore REI meetings? I've been to the BWI Meetup and found it extremely useful. I'm a current investor also looking to find additional rentals in Baltimore City, possibly near one of the colleges. Best of luck to you. Feel free to reach out anytime.

Not sure if you're interested in Section 8/Govt subsidy programs in Baltimore (there are a few) but I've read it's a little different there.  You post your house for rent and once a Section 8 tenant selects you, the inspection period begins only at that point.  I've seen a lot of BP users say they use gosection8.com to list their rentals.

Welcome to BP @Emery Green ! I too am looking for buy and holds in Baltimore from a distance.  About 90 minutes away so much less than you!  I too have identified 21218 as a target location.  Please stay in touch and let me know once you land here or reach out anytime.

Cheers to our success in 2016!
