Welcome to BP Chris...glad you decided to come out from the shadows and introduce yourself!

Welcome to BP! What's the weather like in SD...let me guess, 77 and sunny. Make sure you take some time to checkout the forums, blogs and podcasts, they all have some great information.

Good luck!

Welcome to BP Anja. It sounds like you are doing quite well as an agent in Chile, I would love to hear more about the market there. I have seen some pictures of a friend's travels and Chile looks to be a beautiful place.

There are a lot of resources here on BP (forums, blogs, podcasts, fileplace, etc) but the best resource of all is the members...so stay active and you will learn a lot!

Good luck and let us know how we can help!

C-A-T-S Cats Cats Cats!! Welcome to BP Jamie! I graduated from UK in 2008 and commissioned into the Air Force as a Maintenance Officer. I separated last summer to get back to KY.

I have been flipping in/around Lexington for a few years now and started a long-term rental portfolio this year. What kind of deal do you have in the works that will take until Feb 2014 to close?

Good luck!

Welcome to BP Chris. The Free Ultimate Beginner's Guide is a great place to start. Also, the search bar at the top is helpful when looking for previous discussions on certain subjects.

+1 on Brandon's suggestion about the picture. Good luck!

We do not allow pets in our rental properties. We have had no problems whatsoever with a limited pool on applicants, in fact, one family was willing to re-locate their pet to a family member to be able to move in.

I agree with Mehran, check out the Ultimate Beginner's Guide, it has a ton of good information and provides an excellent primer on real estate. Also, I would listen to the podcasts...you will hear about how others got started in the business and what things are working and what things are not.

Hey Josh, welcome to BiggerPockets! Make sure you take some time to familiarize yourself with the various sections of the site (forums, blogs, podcasts, etc), each has a ton of helpful information.

Where do you think you would start buying rentals (Israel, Australia, US)? Do you plan on being in Israel for a while?

Good luck!

Nope on all accounts except for one holiday season bonus I have to my main contractor. It is something I would think more about though...I will be curious to hear other answers on this.
