Did you ever find someone to help you with web scraping?

Unfortunately, I did not.

I just bought a six-unit apartment, and am trying to get one of the tenants set up as a tenant manager. He did this for the previous landlord, but there was no paperwork, including leases. I was wondering if anyone else has used tenant managers, and what kind of contracts you used. Did you need to use a special lease?

The main reason I was wanting to start out working for someone else is that I have an online business I have been building over the past year, and I didn't want to have to build two businesses at the same time. I agree however that it might be a better option to start my own company if my my only option was being 1099'd and having to cover all those costs with only 50%.

Thanks for the info guys. Sounds like the most important things are an open mind and the willingness to learn about houses and building.

I have recently considered getting licensed to work as a home inspector and had a question about how much experience inspection companies are looking for in new hires. Would a company even consider hiring me if I haven't had much construction experience? The local Columbus Ohio Hondros College offers a hands on training and certification course, but would this be enough?

I am going to spend some time tomorrow calling around to local home inspection companies, but thought it would be worth posting the question here to see what you all had to say.

Hey Engelo,

Great story, thanks for sharing. It is good for us small guys to know that bad stuff happens even to the big guys.

Also, I loved the story about the fisherman, good stuff.

I have my VA scrub the list every 4-5 months, and keep mailing the ones that haven't sold.
