Questions about working as a home inspector

I have recently considered getting licensed to work as a home inspector and had a question about how much experience inspection companies are looking for in new hires. Would a company even consider hiring me if I haven't had much construction experience? The local Columbus Ohio Hondros College offers a hands on training and certification course, but would this be enough? 

I am going to spend some time tomorrow calling around to local home inspection companies, but thought it would be worth posting the question here to see what you all had to say.
