Yes because the person living there owns the house. Who are they going to pay rent to themselves? Of course there could be some side arrangement where they pay someone the equivalent of a rent.

I guess I do not understand. I thought y'all were saying you bought these properties and the elderly person gets to keep living there until they pass away?

The freestanding refrigerator is not considered part of the home.

We consider the "slide in range" a part of the home.... Not something to be taken when moving out.

Curious if anyone else has followed any of the tiny house movement and would you consider investing in such a project. I have been interested in it for sometime now and have read about a project where they are going to develope a miniature neighborhood of tiny homes on a 1 acre plot with common area similar to a RV park. These homes would be 1/1 and 2/1 high energy efficient homes.

The theory behind these is to create affordable housing with a reduced carbon footprint that can be owned by the typical person that would rent.

As an investor do you see this as a viable opportunity?
Would lenders generate loans for these?

Building with SIP's (structural insulated panels) is a very fast way to build homes. The panels are constructed in the factory with all window, door and electrical chases routed out and panels ready to set in place.
