Bill Gulley may be able to shed some light on this idea... possibly they could lease the home and you act as the property manager to make money off the deal. Or possibly she could owner finance the home to you for an amount that will not affect her Medicaid benefits.

I just went through this same experience with my mother. It is actually Medicaid that puts the limits on how much money a person on Medicaid can have in the bank. For my mother she was not allowed to have more than $2,000 in the bank on the last day of the month. When we sold her house they stop the Medicaid payments to the nursing home for a period of time based on a formula. That is where you are getting that the money goes to the nursing home, because you then become responsible for the full payment.

Works the same here in Texas. You have to be "sponsored" by a broker.

I agree with Karen Margrave and Tevis Verrett

There are many avenues to deal with this problem neighbor! Harassment is not something that needs to be tolerated.

Karen Margrave As a new REI I would definately entertain a partnership with someone at any level price range on properties. Everyone above has posted great reasons to partner.
