We founded Cedar Ridge Management with a mission to provide the very best service, support investing goals of property owners, care for properties and tenants diligently, and have a blast in the wonderful world of real estate investing–and glorify God through all of it. Schuyler started real estate investing in 2011 six-months before reporting to active duty in the United States Marine Corps. Because of deployments and training exercises, he struggled maintaining a profitable portfolio until he married Avery in 2016. Avery immediately turned his portfolio around by firing all of his property managers, seriously interviewing a bunch and picking ones that knew their stuff! In 2017 we started buying locally. The first duplex we bought in Jacksonville had a tenant that was 4 months behind in rent and the manager at the time didn’t even know it! So…Avery started managing our portfolio, and we never looked back. Then Avery got her real estate license and started managing for a growing group of Marines who were investing locally. Avery built the initial management portfolio by focusing on providing stellar service to owners and tenants. We committed early on to build a management company that treated every property like it was our own investment. (To this day we do not spend any money on marketing and grow by providing kick-butt service to great people like you!) In 2021, with Cedar Ridge Management having turned into the growing, rewarding company it is, we decided to get out of the Marine Corps and build a management business full time. We are passionate about real estate investing, property management, and walking with people to financial freedom through real estate!

Soon after graduation I began my real estate investment career purchasing several income properties. My first purchase was a duplex. My first tenant paid 87% of my PITI (principal, interest, taxes & insurance). I soon picked up a roommate who paid the other 13%! After that, I knew I was onto something. Within a few months I purchased my second duplex. Ever since I have been helping others build wealth with real estate. Few real estate agents truly understand real estate from an investor's point of view. Far less actually invest in real estate. Together, with my team, we can build your personal plan and put it in motion. I started McCaw Properties because I could not find a large brokerage firm that truly understood the needs of investors or distressed homeowners. McCaw Properties was formed to solve real estate challenges by working outside of the traditional Realtor box.
