@Alicia Kimmell  I am well aware of my trip to Dayton and the training you discuss in your post, but it does not state all of the facts about the CEO program I signed up for.

Also, I had to decline attending the August Mastermind because I couldn't afford the cost of the trip, hotel, transportation, etc after paying the exorbitant initial fee for the program.

I have made every effort to make this program work but went broke trying because of the additional costs and requirments I was not told we had to incur after I paid the initial fee for this program.

I know that it costs money to start and operate a business but I believe that we were not given a real assessment of this program upfront to be able to make a really informed decision about it before signing up for it and my spending a year's salary for it. Please note that I have nothing personal against John or anyone else there. I just expected more than what I got for my money.

Because this is a public forum, I will not list all of my disagreements with your post and my issues with the CEO program I bought here. I will wait to hear from you to discuss this matter further.

@Isaac Moore I'm interested in knowing the name of the company you're using for your team of VA's too. Also, are they worth the investment? Any tips would be appreciated, thanks.

@Tony Tillman thank you for your comments. I know a few Realtors personally, but they are so business as RE Agents that they're not really interested in working with me as a new Investor although I did offer to give them any deals I get too.

Anyway, I decided to go ahead and study for my MD Real Estate License.  Like you said, the cost should be another goal to tackle not a disadvantage.  Although there may be some exceptions, I agree with you that a lot of Investors that are also Realtors are successful.  It would be great to get more feedback (positive or negative) from BP Investors that are also Realtors.

@Van Ward thank you for your post regarding this software program. Please don't discount the fact that it's your first post because we all have to start somewhere.  At least you got started with your investing and posting (yaaa).  I appreciate that you added value to this discussion because it's helping some of us to make an informed decision before we spend our money on another software, program, training, etc.  Thanks.

@Russell Brazil Thank you very much for your comments.  You are correct in stating that the disadvantages are often overlooked.  Whew... I didn't know there would be that many disadvantages.  I thought that because there are soooo many RE agents out there today, that the advantages would outweigh the disadvantages.  Thank you for your honesty and detailed explanation.  It's giving me a lot of important things to consider.  Your comments are greatly appreciated.  Thank you.

As a newbie RE Investor, do you think I would benefit by becoming a Realtor?  From your experiences, what are the advantages and disadvantages of being both an Investor and Realtor in the DC, MD, VA area? Thank you.

@Brian Pulaski - Lol, I need a buyers agent like that here in Maryland. If they're out there I haven't come across one yet. And we have more agents then ever before. Thanks for your post, it encourages me to keep looking for a buyers agent that is willing to writing up my offers and fight for me with my low offers. These kinds of agents are worth the whole 6% and more!
