Hello @Cody Harris and @Victoria C.! When it comes to searching for properties in Detroit, its best to search by zip codes. In my opinion, good zip codes are 48224, 48219, 48235, 48227 and 48221. You can also look on buildingdetroit.org.

From what I read, it appears as if the Planning Commission and the Detroit City Council rush through the process to make sure no one would be aware of what was going on. What @Erin Spradlin stated makes sense. As citizens,  we have to stay aware of laws that are being passed without our knowledge. We have to stay informed!

Hello Robert. Sorry for the delay. I just noticed I can get mentions. I can do you one better. Let me give you a few zip codes that are in good areas. 48224 (I lived in this area for over 20 years, East English Village), 48235, 48219, 48221, 48227. Let me know if you have any other questions. 

Hello @Keri Middaugh. I apologize for the delay. The prices have been going up lately. Currently, I live in Oklahoma. However, I do check into Detroit to see what is going on. I do have experience in Single Family homes and Multi family homes. The taxes for a single family home are roughly $2,000 per year. Feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions.
