My educational background is in hospitality management & culinary arts but after nearly a decade of being that business I transitioned over to real estate. My father owned a roofing company for 30 years and when he passed away in '08 I ran it for a little over a year before closing shop and moving down to south FL. I'm a licensed agent there as well as NC and am in the process of finishing up my first flip in the N. Raleigh area so keep me in mind once you get your first wholesale deal under contract.

Welcome to BP! This will be the most invaluable resource that you can leverage in your REI business by far. Make sure to set up your Keyword Alerts for things like Raleigh/Durham etc and you'll receive an email notification when local discussions are going on. We have a meetup (almost) every month on the last Thursday for local BP members and friends, so when you get to the area you should come and connect with some other investors who are active in the area. TREIA & RTP REIA are two others you may want to consider as well.
