@Angela Shepard, please be careful. If you have 28k to invest in Guru training, please don't. Use that for your own investing. You can learn everything you need here on BP, local Real Estate Meetup groups and several books. Listen to the BP podcasts, I downloaded them to a "usb thumb drive" to listen to when I'm driving. Also, many of the podcasts have the "transcripts" that you can review for better learning. Everything is free with the exception of buying books; you probably can rent out several from the local library for free!

Another suggestion would be if you live near a local college that offers business classes seek out an Investing or Real Estate class. By taking classes locally it's also a great way to network with others learning the business. Or take the Real Estate license class in your state; you'll learn the basics there.

Over 26 years ago, I attended a 3-day Guru workshop and ended up not doing anything with it because the support wasn't there. The other people that attended were from great distances from where I lived (so I never networked with anyone); felt isolated. This was before the internet! The only thing I got out of it was some debt on credit cards, Guru books, VHS Videos and Cassette audio tapes along with frustration, disappointed in myself, and gave up, the only thing I did get out of it was my interest in Real Estate but didn't do anything for another 24 years!

So in 2019, this is my time to do it! It's now or never for me. In January I got my real estate license, joined a few real estate meetup groups and following and doing everything BP has to offer!

Good Luck!

@Horacio Gutierrez I live in Massachusetts with a small cape style home and did a complete gut job on my small bathroom (5x7) and my cost was $11k, including new wiring and plumbing. I did a custom tile shower, flooring and sink.

Kitchen was complete gut job (10x10) and new appliances (including washer and dryer ), rewiring and plumbing. Cost was $28 completed.

@Mindy Jensen Anything you could do in the missing transcript matter would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.

I was wondering the same thing.  I've been working my way through the topics that interest me the most in a chronological and suddenly they were no more.  I listen to a podcast each morning on the treadmill but I like to be able to go back and take notes on the important points later.  It kind of defeats the whole purpose if I have to listen to it all over again when I'm in a position to be able to take notes (kind of hard to do on the treadmill- LOL).

I also noticed on some of the newest podcasts the Transcripts are available; some not all. So maybe check out the link for #1-#159. I've been saving them as a PDF 's in a folder on my laptop for future reference.

I did send BP support 2 emails and the 1st response was "The newer podcasts takes about 2 weeks to be transcribed. Please check back with the newer episodes after 2 weeks or so and they should be updated with transcripts" (there was no mention of the older missing ones) and 2nd response  was "Thank you for the feedback, we are just kinda delay with the transcript but they will surely be added on the podcast as well".

So maybe, you could make a request via email and see if they will add the "old missing ones" that we are looking for. If it shows that there is enough interest in the missing transcript podcasts maybe they can do something about it.

@Mindy Jensen 's "The Money Show Podcast" does have the Transcripts which I also download for future reference. Maybe she might have some input to the old missing ones.

Enjoy your day!

Please update and add-in the missing Podcast Transcripts.

Why were the transcripts stopped? Do any members here find the BP Transcripts helpful especially if you were new here?

I recently found a link that has BP Podcasts Transcripts #1 thru #159 and have found it very helpful. Is it possible for BiggerPockets to update and add the missing BP Podcasts Transcripts list from BP#160 to the current BP podcast to this link and in the future?

https://www.biggerpockets.com/podcast-transcripts

My reason is I find having the Transcripts very resourceful because they are packed with so much information and easier to refer back to it when a podcast is in print (after listening to a one). Sometimes, I'm not in a position to take notes when listening to a podcast (I might be driving for work) and that's when it's helpful to refer to "the show notes" and "the transcripts" in print when I get home, and can see the "show notes" but not always "the transcripts". I have noticed that "show notes" are always mentioned but never "transcript of the show", maybe not many members know about it and it could be suggested as well to gain interest for members. Especially, when there are so many details or a step by step strategy that was heard and would be easier to follow when it's written in front of you.

I'm in the process of listening to all the 300 plus podcasts (yes, I'm still a newbie; up to BP podcast#195) also downloading (copy and paste) the available Transcripts for current and future reference it would also be nice to be able to have a complete set of BP Podcast Transcript Encyclopedia.

Please think about this. I'm a huge fan of BiggerPockets.

@Rishi B.

I've downloaded all podcasts and starting with some of the transcripts. Anyway, I came across this link that might be of some help to you. It has the title, podcast # and the guest. Maybe it might save you from looking thru all 300 episodes.

@Joshua Hively

That's amazing! Keep up the good work! I'm currently up to BP#195 since Early Fall 2018; I was also downloading the transcripts (great for reviewing strategies)  and discovered that they no longer post them. My goal is to finish up to BP#300 by March 31, 2019; then be up to date by mid-April.

I found a link for the transcripts available for download for your reference:

@Brian J Allen

I'm glad to see Worcester making some great strides. I don't visit there often but would like to look into that area for investing within the next year; would love to Meetup with some of you in the near future. Also, did anyone see the article on Chronical Ch. 5 regarding Worcester? It was on a few weeks ago.

I set a goal last fall (2018) of getting my Massachusetts Real Estate license and that was accomplished January 16, 2019! So excited. My next goal is to work in the field as well as start investing as soon as possible.

I have a few interviews next week and one of the brokers sent me a New Real Estate Agent survey that I would like to share with newly agents licensed on BiggerPockets as well as new investors. I bolded a few questions that I think are most important; it really makes you think about what steps to help you succeed. When I'm done I'll share some of my answers; maybe some of you will share your answers too. Below is a copy for your review; hopefully it will help you on your real estate journey for 2019.

As far as the window is concerned to make sure it is large enough also you might want to consider purchasing 2-3 Story 25-foot Portable Fire Escape Ladder like this if there is only one window.
