Post: Get all addresses in a county?

Thanks for the quick reply. I am seeking some way to get a spreadsheet of the addresses for several reasons...to make my own lists, etc.

EDDM doesn't allow me access to the addresses themselves...but I need actual access to them for some projects.

I considered asking whitepages.com if they would sell the list of all addresses in each zip code/county, but then it dawned on me that not everyone has a landline/home phone so that list would be incomplete. I need EVERY address in the city/county.

Also, to clarify, some counties will sell their data...or you can request it from them by using public records requests.

What I am asking for here is a secondary source that can be used to get a list of addresses in the event a city/county doesn't have the data available or cannot provide it to me.... I am looking for a plan B.

Does anyone know of a way to get a list of all addresses (house number and streets) in a city or county? I am not talking about all of the details regarding these properties--just the addresses. I tried google, whitepages.com, and other avenues...but the only way I can think of getting a (spreadsheet) list of EVERY address in a city/county would be to buy them from a leads place like listsource (which I don't want to do). Does anyone have any handy ideas for this?

Thanks, gang.

Have you ever wanted to send mass voice mail messages to multiple people at the same time? Now you can with the slybroadcast. You can now send a pre-recorded message to thousands of U.S. mobile numbers instantly

I am not affilaited with them at all. I simply think this is a great way to follow up with a bunch of sellers who werent quite ready to sell previously.

Enjoy!

TLO offers a subscription program as well. You can negotiate it with your sales rep. I got a package deal for 150 searches for $100 each month. Its a nice system and allows me to search tenant background, review references, and occasionally find a vacant house homeowner.

Brian L great point. When I first started gathering that list I tended to focus away from the MLS since that is where everyone (and their brother) look for leads. I dont really like competition and tried gathering as many non-MLS strategies that I could.

Having said that, I would recommend that investors use all methods and have as many strategies that they can feasibly handle--including the MLS.

So, do as I say. NOT as I do. :)

Post: Locating FREE educational materials through Google

Hey Gang.

I learned a neat trick for finding free educational materials online.

Sometimes people buy educational materials and then scan them and save them online as a pdf document.

Other times the owners of educational materials think their ‘for sale’ educational documents are password protected and only available to paying customers.

Either way, google allows you to search for them directly by using “filetype:pdf”.

So, for example, my favorite marketing guy is Jay Abraham. If I want to search the internet for educational materials by Jay Abraham I would put this into the google search bar:

“jay abraham filetype:pdf” (without the quotes, of course)

And yippee! The google search results are all PDF documents of his educational materials. Booyah!

Good luck!

PS You can do this with real estate educators as well. Not all, but some.

You guys are welcome. Glad you like the list. It really is a result of basically searching google for ways of finding motivated sellers. : )

Eh, I would rather sell them based on market value. :-)
