@Chanel Hill

You sure you want bessemer. If it’s city of bessemer run. If it’s Jefferson county school stay but don’t over pay. Good luck.

@Ryan Boltman

Stay away from city of Center point and Center point high school. Shooting and stealing. Huffman high school is ok. I own 2 homes there last 9 years.

Talk to fireman postal workers and utility workers. They know what is going on in the neighborhood. Good luck.

Always follow the schools. You will never go wrong. Good tenants follow good schools.

It’s not a good area. About 7-8 years ago I was looking at a house in that area and I called a cousin of mine who was a fireman/medic for Tarrent city. I gave him the address and he told me that area just had a lot of stealing. Two blocks over there were shooting and stealing. Like I said that was 7-8 years ago. I do know that it’s so bad that the local American Legion closed this year in Tarrant. Also terrible schools. Check it out. Good luck.

@Emily M.

I would strongly suggest Atlanta or Birmingham or Hunstville. Stay away from the bad areas by following the schools. Good tenants and appreciation follow the decent & good schools. Good luck.

It also depends on the zip codes. Some C neighborhoods in Birmingham/ Jefferson County are ok. Some are stealing zones and the worst are shooting and stealing. When you are looking at a property be sure to ride around the neighborhood and talk to the people who work it such as postmen utility workers first responders. Insurance companies do know these high risk zones due to claims. Good luck JP
