Welcome @Tim Sisk!

 You have came to the right place to learn and make the connections! What is your marketing plan since you are out of state? I am interested to hear more about that.

@Russell Lauck Welcome!

One of the best things I have found to network is buying people coffee/lunch and picking their brains! Great choice. I would also check out REI meetups in your area. You can search BP or go to www.meetup.com as well and find them there!

Good luck!

@Jonathan Davis Welcome back!

From what I have heard the Atlanta market is pretty competitive with all the direct mail that is sent out there. How are you sourcing your leads right now?

I would suggest some creative workarounds to stand out above others. "Cold Calling" might be a good solution. As much as everyone hates it, it works!

@Tom Bennett Welcome!

If your just getting started I would look into learning more about "Wholesaling Lease Options." I'm learning about it now and its looks like a very interesting technique for REI. I would look up Joe McCall on here if you can. He has had great success with it.

Other than that, my biggest suggestion is to jump in and do your first deal. Don't get stuck in "analysis paralysis"... or so to speak. You have to jump in and learn as you go!

Good luck!

@Alexander Cercone, First of all thank you for your service!

I have a few clients I work with in SC and it seems like the Charleston market is pretty decent. From what it looks like there doesn't seem to be a ton of competition there(this is from an outsiders view, I could be wrong on this).

As far as networking the best way I have found is to find local REI meetups in SC when you get there. I went through google and searched for "we buy houses" and then my zip code. From there I emailed as many people as I could find to sit down for coffee and network some more. One of them put me in touch with some of the local meetups.

You can also check meetup.com to search for events in that area.

Good luck and welcome back home!

Are you still having issues? I ran into this the other day. You have to go to Settings on the top right, then Profile Picture on the left. It will give you an option from there to upload your picture! Hope this helps!

@Kekoa-Michael Lwin Thanks for the info! I'll still most likely do my market here in St. Louis but I cannot wait to get back there! Thanks again
