I'm also considering buying investment properties in Abilene. Property taxes in DFW are high. Also multi family homes are expensive and highly sought after in DFW.

@Wayne Brooks Yea,I realized after I posted that the Home Style program is under Fannie Mae. Also I'm aware that I would have to owner occupy any home that uses 203k or Home style program. Thank you for your input.

So I'm working on buying my 1st investment property that's a townhouse. I found a duplex in Dallas that I'm also interested in purchasing using a FHA homestyle loan. Can I buy a 2nd property that I intend on occupying using a homestyle loan? The 1st property will be with a 30yr traditional mortgage. I'm waiting to hear from the mortgage company on whether I'll be able to put the 1st home under my LLC. Has any ever used a homestyle loan?

I meant to say manufactured homes. They look like they were built in the 90s. I'm unable to track down the owner to offer an owner finance deal. I've been speaking to the realtor for the property. The property is in a small town near Oklahoma city. I did find out from the county treasurer that property tax is only 400 a yr.

So a realtor has posted  2 mobile homes for sale that are on private land( 2acres). The property's are also currently being rented out for $700 a piece. The homes and land are being sold for 79k. I looked at other pieces of land that dont have mobile  homes and the land goes for about 10k per acre. The homes don't look newer. I just wonder if the property is over priced. The property is developed with electricity, well water and a septic system.
