I am in the same situation than @Jaymie S.    if you want to have a great portfolio,  you or one of your partner need to be the grantor

@Kimberli Grasty   Welcome to this beautiful business, wholesaling is not investing, but you can make good money on it,  Please don't go and buy anything, you need to spend time learning the business first, this is a beautiful business to be,  you can join your local REIA, read books, try to learn for a local investor, good luck

are the rental houses in your name?   you better have them under an entity them refinance one and keep buying more

@Matthew Grant    You  can ask for an approval from the housing authority, also ask for a tenant estoppel, do your own inspections,  check the lease agreement,  find out about the deposit, how much the section 8 pays and how much the tenant pays,   you need to keep in mind that after you close the deal,  if there is an issue, that issue will be yours

What I was wondering is where should I start, what kind of real estate should I be looking for and who are some people I should consult with first. Thanks in advance!

@Christopher Courter   are you in that situation?  is the wholesaler is the one who brings the buyer, normally they add their profit on top of the price

Thank-you sir. You don't understand how inspiring it is to hear a best wish, from another person. When I express my RE dream and relocation dream to anyone around me, all I receive in return is a bland, negative response. A response that you would hear from a person who has no aspirations, like "Poor Dad". It's great hearing this and good ammunition to keep moving forward, especially from a fellow Ohioan I presume! I still don't know if i want to live on the east coast or the Orlando region. Everyone I talk to hates the Miami area, which is where you are located. Can you give me any advice on this?

live where you want to live but invest where the number make sense (the Real Estate Guys radios are the ones who always says so), I do love Miami but also Orlando is booming, As an agent, you can make a good living in any area, you need to love where you are, I do invest in Miami area and other states

@Jay Hinrichs   You may be right, the deals I make thought wholesaling, if I am dealing with an agent, he/she get the full comision, and they normally love me after closing, if I am dealing with the seller directly, I feel I am helping them, I try to do a win-win deal, I have close some deals with zero profit but in those cases I was happy because the seller was happily resolving their situation, right now I am more focus on building my portfolio with friends rather than make more quick bucks
