@Max Geesey

I live in greenville, but have looked at a couple older houses near downtown greer to use as short term rentals.  how is your house performing as a short term rental?  do you have any issues keeping it booked?  also, does the tenants pay for the cleaning fees, or do you?  thanks!  Adam

@Jason Burr  what do you think of the victor mill area near downtown, or any of the mill areas near downtown greer?  i live in greenville btw, but from the clemson area, and don't go to greer too much.  thanks for the input!

Hey Jason.  I am in gville south carolina (about 2 hours from atlanta).  i have a two story duplex near downtown w/ 1 br 1bath per side.  it will be basically brand new when i am finished w/ it.  i am really wanting to try the short term rental route.  i will take any advice i can get.  thanks!  Adam

@Derek Scott     I did some research locally a while back.  The lots are hard to rent, and I’m not sure it’s worth it.  I spoke to several property management companies that had some individual mobile home lots for rent.  Who knows though.

@Mora Clark

Market is still pretty hot w/ anything near downtown greenville.  There are a couple listings that have sat on the market a longer than they were last year, but still a great sellers' market.

@Andrea Snyder    Greenville is definitely a hot spot.  I own two properties near downtown in gentrifying areas that are rentals.  I also own a house in anderson county that is going to hit the market soon.  I am currently looking for another rental property.  Some investors are taking their money and buying in spartanburg right now -since greenville is so competitive.   I need to educate myself on the spartanburg market...  i do not know that area hardly at all.

@Terry Burger

I received a post card from "nice guys buying houses" regarding a rental property that i own.  I noticed your company signature at the bottom of your comments.
