Airbnb Greer / Greenville SC
I have a new construction 3/2 SFR in Greer that we are going to furnish and rent short term. We have other long term rentals with a property manager and they have performed great. The biggest challenge I see with short term is reliable cleaning and house prep in between guests (we do not live in the area and will hire cleaners, etc).
Are there members from the Greer / Greenville area that hire out the cleaning of their short term rentals? If so, any advice and suggestions on setting this up? Do you use a larger cleaning service or find a smaller (or one person) operation? Thanks in advance!

@Max Geesey I am new to this and in here doing some research and saw your post about my local area. I live in Spartanburg (next to Greer) and had a second property in Seneca where my wife and I did STR there. We used a local lady and her sister to do the servicing. She charged us $50 (for a 5 bedroom - 8 bed/linens - home) and we simply passed that onto the AirBNB guest as a pass-through additional charge. We were new to the site and doing it, so, yes, we "discounted" the rates initially to build up references, then re-priced accordingly. However, we did NOT discount during home Clemson games. Local hotels were sold-out and rates were through the roof, so we also increased for a premium. We sold out all home games six months in advance. So our "wisdom" would be to ensure that event/high demand times, you hold your line (or possibly increase). Much success!
