Is Ricky Carruth the best YouTube channel for learning how to be a real estate agent?
Does anyone have any other recommendations?
Going through the Reddit forums, it seems like Ricky Carruth and Mike Ferry are always recommended. Ricky Carruth has more subscribers.
Honestly, I think Brandon Mulrenin and Ricky Carruth are the best in terms of being realistic with their viewers. I lean more towards Brandon Mulrenin even though I am not a heavy cold caller. I focus more on inbound lead generation instead of outbound. Reason I like Brandon is that he makes it clear that this is not an easy business by any means and you need to put the work in.

Hi Ricky, are you looking for more info on what's involved in the day-to-day life, how to lead gen, how to manage a transaction...all of the above? There's a ton of content on how to lead gen, that's the main topic out there but there is much, much more to being a real estate agent than that. I'm happy to connect and help answer any questions or give you further guidance on books, podcasts, websites, etc.
Also, I'm launching a book soon about being a professional and competent real estate agent. There are many that need guidance beyond lead gen and sales. Happy to give you a copy when it's ready in a month or so. Send me a DM.

Love Ricky @Mike Schorah but depending on what kind of content you're looking for, I also love Mike Sherrard... both are with eXp Realty and offer a ton of valuable free for content!
Hi Mike!
I am also learning how to be a real estate agent. Something I keep in mind when researching on YouTube is finding someone the most similar to myself in regard to personality, so that when you viewe their videos, you could see myself easily applying the information. For instance, I get a lot of value from Caryse Eccleshall, because she is also female and has an aspirational demeanor. I watch Brandon Mulrenin for his cold calling content, just for knowledge, however when I obtain my license I anticipate using a different approach to his when it comes to personality and tone. My conclusion is that it is beneficial to find a real estate agent on Youtube who you find most relatable and does the type of transactions you think your niche will be primarily in. I would look the agent up as well, to make sure that they are a top performing agent (because you should only take advice from someone you would want to switch places with).
Hope that helped!
Brianna

Great recommendations on here so far!
I'd also recommend BAM - Broke Agent Media - on youtube. There are several contributors who mainly discuss ways to build your business and brand digitally - social media (all platforms), email, youtube, etc.
There is some content related to cold calling, object handling, etc. but they do not post on this as much as Ricky and Brandon do.

I like Ricky, sometimes though...he can get a little long winded with reading every word of an article vs just surmising and making his point. Good stuff though.

OMG his special reports on the NAR Trial last October were just him reading some random news article, painful lol!
Ricky isn't for me. Is he still touting NTFs and how he's pivoting into that? His message is call until you're blue in the face and religiously follow up, there I saved you hours of videos. Mike Sherrod I just found and like a lot. Tom Ferry is the best IMO.
Just be careful, a lot of BS artists on social media.
