You can read all the books you want about how to ride a bike but you really don't know how to ride a bike until you get on and start pedaling.

Summers are great and spring/fall are awesome for hiking and especially bike riding seeing as we are right on the Trail of the Coeur d'Alenes which is a 72 mile paved bike path that winds it's way along the lake, through woods and chain lakes.

You also said you purchased a few months ago and you the employer isn't shutting down for a few more months...I'd try to ride out staying where you are as long as possible.

You could also make contacts with a local horseback riding place that offer lessons to see if you could refer guests for an experience.
