I’m still in the learning phase of real estate investing. What do you pay for property management and how many units? Should I manage my own properties just starting out? Thanks!

All commissions are negotiable and there are common fees and hidden fees. The normal range is for the monthly commission is 5% - 10%, depending on the amount of total units and level of difficulty. The procurement fee normally ranges between half of first months rent and a full months rent. Other popular fees are maintenance fees, release fees, eviction fees, inspection fees, and the list goes on and on.

It is always good to self-manage at some point and it is easiest when you are small. You can read all the books you want about how to ride a bike but you really don't know how to ride a bike until you get on and start pedaling.
