We usually talk to 50-100 candidates before we hire 1 agent. Work ethic and effort count double, so we've tailored our hiring process to reflect that. 

What seems to be your biggest problem?

@Faye Omar - that's a risk they chose to take by signing the lease and putting down money without seeing the property.  If  they want out of the lease, it would be the same thing as breaking a lease early.

In our market, people do not have to physically see the home or property in order to sign a lease.

- @Joel Owens is spot on. You can't have your cake and eat it too. Do you want cheap fees or an education?

If I'm going to share my client network and knowledge that took years of hard work to develop, then it better be worth my time. 

We provide a ton of business, training, and services to our agents, and our split is higher.  Our average agent is making double the money a salesperson from another industry makes in our market though.

What's your goal with looking for a broker that specializes in investors? Are you looking for training/coaching or favorable fees?  

Many of the franchise guys (KW, C21, Coldwell banker) will take just about anybody with a heartbeat and a license.

We use Broker Metrics to run reports on agent volume and units for our market.  I think it's available in most markets.
