@Chris Hayes

It depends on what area, age of home, and age of roof. If you would like, I’m happy to get you hooked up with a good insurance broker here in town.

@Chris Hayes

You can close as early as the first part of October and not have your first payment due until December 1 - hopefully that helps you have enough time to find a good tenant! Let me know if you need any help.

Multifamily is a great way to go. For most duplexes properties here in town the rent on one side won’t completely cover the mortgage (assuming 20% down). You will get some income out of it though, which is the goal. Is there any particular reason you are waiting until November?

Hi all!  I frequently see people posting and asking about multifamily properties available in the Oklahoma City metro area (OKC) market.  It's never our intent to solicit on the forums, so we're throwing out a link to our multifamily page (updated hourly) on our site:

Multifamily properties for sale in the Oklahoma City Metro

We see people asking all the time for available homes and for brokers/agents that understand the investment side of the business, so we wanted to make this available to all of our friends at Bigger Pockets.  When you register/create your account on our site, the information stays within our company and is not sold to outside vendors. We hope this helps!

There is so much to learn from the agent side. Are there any teams with successful team member agents in your area? If I was starting from scratch, I’d go work for the person/team that has the most successful agents that gives leads.

Hi @Paul Aqua!

We’ve had new agents work part time morning jobs so they can hit afternoon, evening, and weekend appointments. We’ve had people bartend. We’ve even had people uber/lyft so it could match their work schedule. It really just depends what options you have available, and work with what you have.

Are you hungry?

Are you humble?

Do you have social awareness?

Do you have your real estate license or currently in the process of obtaining it?

Homestead & Co is a locally owned full service real estate brokerage, and we have leads to work.  If you want to learn the real estate market, learn how to sell, learn how to work with retail clients, and learn how to work with investors, send a PM.
