@Dan Valiente actually on the contrary. The closer the properties the harder. Watch call your lender and ask if you can. 9.9/10 will probably say no, because they have not done it. I'm mr. loophole, if there is a will there is a way.

And no I didn't pay off the loan, they are still VA loans.

But now I do the BRRR method.

@Alexander Reda doesn't sound like a bad deal. I don't know the area you're in. But you don't have to live somewhere to invest there. Especially as you're already planning hiring a property manager.

And I'm all for partnering up with someone. So one step you can take is find good contractors or sub contractors. Also know how much the property manager costs and what the entails. And maybe find a wholesaler, I know a few in different states and cities.

Us grunts are a special kind of breed @Dan Valiente

And nope they are both single family residences and I did it twice, and they are right next door to each other. I don't know if is called a bonus loan or anything.

But I have a lender through United Home Loans helping a Veteran with this right now.

And congrats on the home, that's where the journey begins.

Honestly @Mike OConnor I would do it.

I was looking at doing that for vacant land in Phelan, California.

But right now I'm focusing on the BRRRR method on single family homes.

@Dan Valiente

Well another Cali native, I'm a combat vet living in Southern California ( High Desert)

If you're first starting out I would utilize your VA loans. I'm an expert in them as I have two VA loans next door to each other and they are rentals now.

I know San Francisco can be expensive. But the good thing I VA loan limits are no more since the beginning of the year. So lets say you can afford a 800K home 1-4 units. Basically means you can buy it with 0% down.

I'm currently helping a Veteran get into a home and he will pay 0 dollars to get in. Sweet deal.

Where do you plan on investing?

Hello @Alexander Reda is that 400-600k a door? I don't think so, but I'm not sure.

Anyways do you own a home? I personally would start with renting out a property you can handle ( not saying you can't handle it)

Also you can always partner up with someone more experience and go from there.

Also @Jerry Padilla I called and left a voicemail from you yesterday in regards to delayed financing.

Hello @Pete Storseth I honestly wouldn't pay that right now for your position. I would open a credit card on Amazon and buy some books, or heck watch YouTube videos and Podcasts of what you're trying to accomplish.

Also I would save up for a Conventional loan as you wouldn't have Private Mortgage Insurance.

I've been looking for property in Houston, TX. And I have a realtor out there helping me, I could send you his contact information and we can network from there.

I've had my lenders license for awhile her in California, but do not practice it as I'm a realtor/investor. But as a combat veteran who uses VA loans personally and helps other Veterans use their entitlement. I come across lenders that do not know how to service them and it saddens me.

So my question is there a specific lending job that acts like real estate where I have the freedom throughout the day. As I don't go to the office all day everyday.
