No, you didn't screw up. Seems like she wasn't as transparent with you and didn't have the funds so it wouldn't have worked anyways.

Yeah I wouldn't complicate things with using another software since you only have 1 property. 

I absolutely HATE bugs. I had a pest company do this and it worked well. They did it probably about 3 times to make sure. 

Usually, you can get the pot smell out within a few cleans, especially with an ozone machine. Follow the lease if it states smoking and weed is legal. Sometimes it might be a mix of pot and maybe dog/cat piss around. IDK.
