A tenant wants to move in her adult daughter
Hi guys,
One of my tenants wants to move her adult daughter with her. The daughter is a single gal and moving form out of state so she does not have a job yet. She is 21 years old…
The tenant is paying on time so far and I don’t mind to let her daughter move in with the tenants.
Do I sign addendum to the lease?
I would really not want to create a new lease because we just signed the lease 2 months ago with the mom…
Thank you !

Quote from @Mary Jay:
Screen her first! You should always screen every adult, even if they are not working and are not contributing to the rent. For all you know, she just got out of jail for drug dealing or hooking.
Screen, approve, add to the existing lease. If she doesn't pass your screening, she doesn't move in.
