Please screen tenants appropriately. That's the only way I was able to get great tenants. Bc I use Innago I use their tenant screening and it's made a difference between bad and great tenants. Also, make sure you're listing on listing pages and not social media!

Listing your property on listing sites like realtor.com, zumper, and etc... Since I use Innago they are able to list my rentals and the tenant screening they offer also helps me find great tenants. Plus it's all free.

Definitely Texas and Ohio!

Thanks Tommy! What areas in Texas would you suggest?

No problem! I'd go with Houston and Dallas. According to Longleaflending, "inventory for single-family homes has increased to a 2.8-month supply" in Houston.

Here are some more details I read from this interesting article.

From my understanding, you have to submit your plans to the city for them to approve them. It really depends on what you're willing to make the ADU look like. I'm assuming it could cost over $80k in Cali.

I've been seeing this question often from those in high school, especially those interested in Real Estate. Do I go to college? I think it's situational and depends on what you want to get out of college. What are everyone else's thoughts?

Hi Alyssa! Our team has written out landlord-tenant laws for all states. Many of our landlords found this useful. I hope this is helpful!

  1. Definitely commercial and residential independent insurance. I would also look into Liability insurance, Umbrella insurance, and Flood insurance.
