I would like to get some serious feedback on a new concept for project management for flippers and rehabbers.

This will lead to opportunity’s for students and professionals looking to get into the project management arena by learning how to manage projects for investors. Especially investors that live remote from their projects. (ie. if your an investor in Texas looking to flip in Florida). The PM will control and report on progress and also mitigate issues with contractors, solicit and hire and record and report on actuals vs budgets for labor and materials costs.

Does this sound interesting?

@Mark Shelstad. Hi Mark and very nice to hear from you. I don’t integrate the application you mentioned as my Podio design already has everything to manage the project from repair cost review, to progress reporting and contractor bid submissions and awarding. I also built an app to record the financials both labor and materials and bump the projected against the actuals. Works very well for me.

I am currently designing Podio and some integrated systems to capture repair costs, solicit and award contractors bids, manage and report on labor and material costs as well as controlling multiple project progressions at once. I would like to ask for pain points that people are having trying to manage their projects from the PM level. Staying on time and budget, contractors control, projected vs actuals and displaying these elements etc. Please discuss.

@Kashif Riaz depending on how you set Podio up it can be a help or a hinderance. I stick with the basics and get a level of understanding and then scale up going forward.

We use SmartGantt that is an extension of Podio.  Realtime updates based on Podio activity is created as they happen and the reports are simple to schedule and run.  Plecto dashboards gives my teams the ability to see whats going on either in the office or on their mobile screens.
