I am currently working with a Property Management company in Central Florida. They recently contracted with a Gentleman to market and lease some of our properties for a commission of 1 months rent.  He doesn't have any type of Real Estate License, he doesn't have a Tax ID # for his business or anything like that.  My question is about the legality of it all..... I am licensed, but it has been a few years since I have been active, but my understanding is that he would need a license to market and/or lease the properties for our company.  Also, I believe his payment would need to be made to a Brokerage, which he does not work for.  Any clarification on this matter would be greatly appreciated.
