Post: Can anyone recommend any investment mentorship resources?

I have little to no experience with investments and real estate in general. The closest I have gotten to the field is owning and operating a successful virtual assistant business that caters to real estate professionals. I have been doing quite a bit of research and taking free webinars to learn more about what my options are when it comes to investing. I am a hard working individual with an incredibly tenacious spirit, and I am not looking for a miracle over night. With that being said, I would like to partner with a mentor so that I can learn more about the business. Ultimately, I would like to create a long-term professional relationship that will prove to be mutually beneficial. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

If you don't mind me asking, approximately how many hours do you typically use per day? @Brett Synicky

Hi there! It looks like I am super late, but I want to chime in! I have been in the VA business for quite sometime now, and almost 100% of my clientele have previously used sites like upwork and fiverr. But, the number one complaint is that although the hourly rates are incredibly low, there can ultimately turn out to be a communication barrier. Consequently, you end up spending more time than you should editing and sending your work back and forth to the VA! My VA's are 100% U.S. based, and they are all college-educated. Our clients absolutely LOVE this because its very easy for our VA's to get the hang of things quickly, and I can say that they never visit other third party sites like upwork and fiverr again!

@Lee Smith, you are absolutely correct! It is necessary to have a phone/video conversation with your VA to make doubly sure that what you are asking for is understood wholeheartedly. I also love that you do tutorials for prospective VA's that's an awesome idea!!

If you have any additional questions regarding any thing VA related, I am more than happy to help! @Charles Kao

Hi there!

I agree with you guys as well! You should certainly find out what tasks are taking you the most time, but also think about how easy it would be for a VA to complete those tasks with minimal to no supervision after training. I have been working in the virtual assistant business for quite some time, and I can tell you that it works quite welling you can provide some sort of checklist or template that your VA can work from.

Most real estate professionals that are looking for a VA typically outsource work that is not limited to but including: filling out paperwork and reports, sorting through emails, responding to emails, reviewing and reporting on data, customer service and much more. As far as expectations go, you should certainly expect that things get done exactly the way that you want. You should just be sure to have a phone conversation to ensure that your needs are understood clearly.

I see that another colleague recommended sites like fiverr.com and upwork.com, but the problem most of my clientele have found with these sites is that a lot of times there can turn out to be a communication barrier. And in turn, you end up spending more time than you should sending work back for edits. My clients love that we cater only to realty professionals and that we are 100% U.S. based because 9 times out of 10, we have dealt with the type of work that you need done, and communication is made easier.

If you have any additional questions, I am more than happy to answer them, happy searching!

What price range (per hour) is reasonable to pay an experienced, U.S. based, college educated virtual assistant? One that specializes in supporting real estate professionals. What qualities are most important to you in a quality VA? (ex. education, experience, U.S. based) Also, how would you go about looking for one?

I would like to know what real estate professionals are currently looking for in the realm of administrative support. Does the use of a Virtual Assistant (VA) have the potential to become more preferable over administrative assistant's? If so, what types of services would you benefit from the most?
