Rehab and furnish 1 unit for STR see how it does. If it does good STR both. Use the income from first unit to rehab and furnish second unit.

Looking for help pointing me in the right direction. Are there lenders out there that will use a STR past income track record ( from seller) as opposed to our W-2 income as the buyer? We have one STR and one LTR as well as our primary that the loans are based on our income. Thanks!

@Dhvaya Narasimhan Check your lease for terms like normal wear. Some LVP is tough some isn't. See if you can get a spare box or pieces of the flooring they use if it does get damaged.

@Avery Carl One long term rental about an hour away and one STR about 4 hrs away. Thinking about more STR.

@Dennis Meints See if they have a friend to roommate with. I was approached by a nurse and pharmacist on Furnished Finders to rent. Just put them both on the lease

@Noah McPherson I was able to refinance right after rehab was done, with no seasoning period. Check with multiple lenders.

@Donald Kish for short term or vacation rentals most likely.

My cleaner supplies almost all of those things. Built into the cleaning fee. Makes it much easier.

@Trevor Murphy have it tested first to see if there is asbestos. Lots of popcorn ceilings don't have asbestos.

Then make your decision.
