@Nathan G. They should have done cash for keys. Probably less expensive in the long run at almost any price for keys. I had to do this for relatives that wouldn't vacate my dad's place after he passed away. Ended up giving them a motorhome for keys. ( I secretly wish they'd drive off a cliff with it) Scum bags.

Looking for opinions and advice on Taylor TX. Looks like an area that is improving, but not sure. Thinking of a live in flip. We currently are in Round Rock and market is crazy. Contemplating selling primary, pocketing some equity for future investments and buying a lower priced home in Taylor to live in and flip in 2 years to avoid capital gains taxes.

@Christian Weber I'd start with a PM first. They know the good and bad areas of town. Especially if they also run a realty office too. They also know other investors who have properties that might be available for off market deals. Often know contractors. Talk to them before you have a property. That's when they'll give opinions and ideas not influenced by monetary gain.
