Entitlement, Bill, isn't that a four letter word. I have not seen any worthy gurus, I have been taken by a few. I believe that investors are wise to get licensed, but reading a few good books can satisfy that perhaps if you are a quick study as hands on experience is best. I believe in community and making a difference as you build wealth. I believe that it will be the investor that pulls our collapsing housing market out of the nose dive that it is in. The banks and government are just putting cement on the carcass instead of breathing a new life into it with rehab and sensible pricing. -- Dawn

I never have a problem with the cost of doing business. Guidant has been good for our LLC SDI, we have absolutely no issues buying at trustee sales NTS at the courthouse steps. But Hubby and I are looking at Tennessee and Austin, Texas for new place to reside, California is quicly becoming just another MEXICO. -- Dawn

I did not read all of the postings. My success is directly related to my work ethic. I worked 60 to 80 hours a week with 3 kids on my lap as a single MOM. No one paid my bills, no child support, just me and the Good Lord Up Above on a Mission to support my kids. I stayed true to who I was and people picked up on that and guess what, doors opened and I never looked back. But, one can never rest when in competitione with the best!, you must appreciate your competitors, they are the ones that drive you to succeed! They are your allies in character! Good Luck! -- Dawn

Did residential rentals in the 90s, never again. Reading this BS reminds me why! Life is too short and my kids do not appreciate sweat equity! LOL, have fun LANDLORDS! -- Dawn

Probably it is just me, but I would want MEMBERS that pay. I mean what ever happened to the TIP? It is not just at the dinner table. If you believe in something, you have to support it. Is it just me? I am a conservative in many ways, but when I appreciate something, I cannot just take from it, I have to give something in return. -- Dawn

As a female, I started at age 15, doing the notebooks for Red Carpet Realty in Tucson, AZ and also cleaning my parent's landlord's office every Sunday. As a military brat, my Dad did not by a "home" to after ALL 5 of we kids were out of the nest, most of us, defending the USA and FREEDOM. Welcome to the world of real estate and a better way of life! Happy 2010! -- Dawn
