I have a rental in the Fayetteville area, out in Raeford actually and I use Michael Knowlin you can contact home at [email protected] or by phone. 910-977-8738 He has been great at managing my house. Of course you should ask around and check him out on your own as well.

Good luck

@Curt Smith thanks for the tip. I did see the bootcamp they put on but my schedule does not really allow me time to do that right now. Perhaps in a few months when I am retiring I will have some time freed up to check it out.

For the time being I will try to learn as much as I can on BP.

@Curt Smith thanks for that explanation with the math. That was well explained and laid out.

Ryan, would you mind sharing a few of the details about the park? Were there other things that turned you off about the park? Do you own any other parks? I am going to check one out tomorrow and I feel like I am in over my head but I have been doing reading and the deal looks good but that is all subject to change tomorrow when I look at the actual park and talk with the manager and review the books etc.

Thanks

Paul

@Bryan C.  you can still do everything through the mail. just as @Kerry Baird  mentioned the JAG should be able to help you out if you are on post. If you are at an embassy someone in the counselor section can notarize for you. We have a legal rep from ARSOUTH who comes once a year and can notarize as well. If none of that is available you will have to wait until you are TDY back to the states to get stuff notarized.

Best of luck to you!

I would say apply for a loan, or ask for owner financing. If she is (almost) family she may consider the offer. This would provide her a better opportunity for income than she has at the moment.

@Dawn Brenengen  I have read both good and bad reviews about the deck over, but my property manager is telling me the stuff is good. I have considered it but I do not want to throw more money away on something that might not work. If anyone out there has used this product I would be interested to see what you have to say.

@Account Closed  If there were a perfect product we probably could not afford it. I was just thinking the composite route because that deck gets NC sun all day and really takes a beating. It seems like every year I am replacing several boards and I feel like I just keep slapping band aids on it when maybe what I need is a new deck surface.
