Any bank and lender can match a quoted rate through different means  By large, they're all about the same. Rates are the most insignificant aspect of a loan and have almost nothing to do with client experience.

For clarity, I'm not knocking MM.

@Jill Grodi have you found a lender to work with yet? If not, please let me know. I can refer you to one of my lender partners. Welcome back to Asheville!

Wolf Laurel is attractive because of the proximity to ski resort and Asheville. I tend to believe closer to Asheville is more attractive year round however.

Hi all. I'm a Realtor in Asheville.

Here, STRs stay booked. I see 80% occupancy year round. No advertising and listed only on  airbnb. Asheville has restrictions on STRs so you need to be outside of city limits or risk $500/day fines.

Boone is a great place to visit. I went AppState and love the area. Boone doesn't get the visitors Asheville gets and is more seasonal. Asheville is 365.

If you're looking for a vacation rental investment property in WNC, Asheville and Brevard areas are going to be tough to beat.

Hi Quinlan! Welcome to Asheville and Bigger Pockets!

I am a real estate Investor and agent in Asheville. Let me know if I can help in any way. Asheville is a great place and market. There are some great deals that will require some renovation work. Is that something you are interested in doing or hiring out? Asheville market has become wise to us investors. The better deals are likely to be found in the surrounding areas.

Hi @Padric Lynch!

First, thank you for Serving our great country. Second, welcome to North Carolina!

I've reached out to a few contacts in Wilmington area who may be helpful.

Are you working with a lender? I would like to connect you with a lender I trust to over any other. He is an USAF EOD Veteran and Vice President at The Federal Savings Bank. He services all 50 states, is a VA Loan Specialist, and has done several loans for myself, friends, and clients here in NC over the last 2 years. If you're going to leverage a banks money (and as an investor myself, I believe you definitely should), you should connect with him.

I grew up minutes from Lake Lure and now am a real estate agent here. I just sold a property there and have two others listed currently. What information are you looking for? Let me know if I can help.
