My expectation is exactly what was mentioned. More traffic and little impact on housing market. It's been some years since I lived in Cary and I know the area has changed since. I wouldn't expect home prices to significantly rise because of this- looking at the avg wages. I think there will be a demand for more homes that won't be met because of the price range and people will have to commute.

This will add strain to an already challenging price range- additional demand. This will create more demand for new construction. Will this be met? Slowly- or slower than higher price points I believe. New construction prices have risen. Interest rates have risen, lowering buying power. This makes building in the lower price ranges challenging.

I am a real estate agent in Asheville. I typically refer to Staton Law Firm in Hendersonville or GRCC in Asheville for closings. My lender partner Justin Hamilton, Vice President at the Federal Savings Bank is always accessable to me- after hours and weekends. He offers the typical loan packages at competitive rates and a few interesting portfolio loans for investors.

Always happy to help.

Some don't require it. I advise my seller clients to refuse any offers that aren't accompanied with a pre-approval letter or proof of funds.

As far as I know, you can't opt out of the three 30 hour Post-Licensing classes- though I would reference NCREC website FAQs and give them a call to ask.

I would recommend you buy the actual text even if you're able to opt out of the class. I haven't found many online resources specific to NC. There's a practice test at NCREC I believe and a syllabus of topics covered on the exam.

Asheville is a great area. Brevard, Arden, Hendersonville, Saluda, Black Mountain, and all the areas around have great things to offer. If you're wanting to move here, I'd recommend visiting and just driving around to different areas and trying out the locale.

If you're just wanting to invest here, you just need to look around for the deals- they've thinned out a whole lot over the last couple years, but they're still around.

The finishes will tell us a lot more. $29k doesn't sound too bad, depending.
