Post: What scares you most about getting started in real estate investment?

I was afraid of talking to sellers on the phone..  until I did it.

I was afraid of making offers in person.. until I did it.

I see that action is the only way to cure fear, yet I'm still afraid of what real estate agents and attorneys will say when I tell them I want to wholesale. Underneath it all, it's a fear of rejection. And as a newbie, I still feel inferior.

BUT I keep going because more than anything, I fear not achieving financial freedom.

Congratulations Jared!

Georgia purchase and sale agreements have the same language about written consent to assign, so I did the same thing. Not your exact words, but I'm thinking I should change the words in my addenda since your phrasing sounds more legalese-like. :)

I have one for the keys and unrestricted access as well.

Now, if I can just get a $65k wholesale deal...

For anyone else who happens upon this thread in search of help for Podio, this is just a reminder that pretty much anything can be done (or at least started) with a Fiverr gig.

I typed in "Podio" on Fiverr and found a guy who builds custom apps & who'll set up the workspaces for you.

Good luck everyone!

Congrats Nick! Was this deal from bandit signs?

I've read success stories from both Ryans and am just now connecting that you're referring to each other when mentioning your partner in the success stories, lol.

My question is, how did you all meet and form the partnership? I want to partner with someone who's equally as committed to this as I am. Any tips?

Revival!

Today I got the ball rolling on my bandit sign marketing. Dropped $482.48 on 200 yellow 18x24 blank signs, 200 H frame wire stakes & a magnum Sharpie from dirtcheapsigns.com.

I wrote in my "real estate diary" (which is just an idea log). Listed all the steps of wholesaling and broke down which of those steps I'll outsource.

Found this thread while searching the forums for "bandit signs response rate".

I'm about to pull up Google Maps and finish pinpointing the places where my signs will be placed.

Later I'm getting my handwriting made into font for Word (for DM).

... Is it safe in here now?

Lol.. I just wanted to add that I looked up my city's sign regulations, and "bandit signs" are allowed. No permit required. As long as they're max. 4ft height in residential, max. 8ft height in nonresidential and out of public rights of way.

I figured that though since someone's "We Do Taxes" signs are all still neatly placed where they've been (on EVERY corner) since January.

Granted, my city's population is only around 55,000.

@Brandon Hicks wins this thread.

Lol, seriously, thanks to the OP for your questions.  There's a wealth of information here for newbies like myself. And again I'm reminded why I HAVE to log in to BP daily.
