What markets are you thinking about? Seems to me that it's hard to find the characteristics of Indianapolis in a lot of places that won't have taxes in the same ballpark.

I don't think it's a sin - but is your market good for rentals? What is your long term goal? Have you considered investing out of area?

I wouldn’t. There needs to be a line between you and tenants.
