Keller williams is a great company to start at but with that said, the only way you will really know what company you will want to join would be to get a very clear ideal on how you want to use your license and what your goals are.

Do you plan to work in the business as well as working on your own investments?

I know you said you're looking for training but another important thing to ask yourself is what other kind of support will you want there are so many things to factor in if you are planning to do real estate as a career.

Good luck with your exam i'm taking mine today :)

Just wanted to give a quick update. Brandon Turner responded and said he would run it past josh and see what his thoughts on it would be. I also wanted to say thank you to everybody that has shared their thoughts as I believe if we do end up doing a podcast we have a great amount of ideals to work with and I do I agree that while targeting military issues would be good, having the podcast be relatable to everyone would make a bigger impact. So maybe it should be more focused on how to manage your time and focus on the couple of things that will make the Biggest difference with how you invest.

@Jeff Quintanilla

Welcome to the forum. You have found a great place to learn about real estate investing that is free and allows you to learn at your own pace. The best advice i can share would be to get active on the site nobody will get to know you if you don't post while you may be new to real estate there are many topics on here that i am sure you can share you knowledge on. There is also a lot of active duty and veterans on here that have a great amount of knowledge about the benefits that we can use to help you use the benefits you are eligible for.

@William Potting

That's what i would like to have this podcast for after getting out i thought i had a plan but i really didn't and it has taking me a long and hard 4 years to start to get back on tract. There are plenty of things that could be done for a podcast.

@Engelo Rumora

it was great to met you and hear about your experiences. your 4 key traits about people was something i have never really thought about but makes a lot of sense since that's how i have typically picked out people i want to work with as well.  learned a lot of great tips from you and look forward to seeing you again when the opportunity comes up.

@Sunny Burns

Lots of great info in here as others have stated. Another thing to consider is why hasn't the single guy filled out the application and upfront is saying that he will give $150 extra a month, sounds to me like he has something to hide and is hoping you over look since his offered you an extra $1800 over the course of the year.  As almost everybody else has said always stick to your guidelines since it will take the emotion out of the decision plus that then allows you to place the blame on the company policy when telling either person no.

Credit score is a just a number but it is earned over a healthy payment history. I wouldn't take the risk on somebody that has low credit score because this is one way you will reduce the risk of having a responsible tenant that takes care of the rental. Good credit score does not guarantee this point but gives you a much lower chance of it happening.

Brandon Davis If you're thinking of using this to buy a building when I had looked into it as well for my self it said you can't use it buy a real estate building. Know I do believe that you can use it to start a real estate Buisness like a property Managament company.

I am at a office in michigan that's where i had signed up at kw this winter and got my sales license because i was thinking of doing some investing in the future in michigan. i am at a different  company in chicago since this is where i started but KW has great training i believe there is a KW nearby in o'hare area which might be a closer drive if i remember you can go to the training at other offices as well i could be wrong though.
