thanks @Dick Rosen.  I agree that I probably don’t need an in state consultant, but with me being so new to quickbooks, I’d prefer to meet with someone in person.

Congrats @Marcus Ethen on graduating! I personally would look to invest before paying off your student loans. Think about it like this, if you make 15% return on you rental property and you're paying 5% in your student loans, your gaining 10% of a return on your money by not paying off your loan and using that money to invest. Also, if you can buy a home yourself, you can buy a 4plex with FHA financing terms. That helps you have a leg up on the competition as you don't need to put 20-25% down. Good luck with whatever you decide.

Wondering if any local investors use a Quickbooks certified advisor that doesn't charge an arm and a leg?  I've entered into partnerships where I'm the managing partner and I need help to make sure I'm reporting the financials correctly.

welcome @Cody McDowell!  I echo what most have said.  While opportunities may be fewer, so is your competition.....typically.  Especially on your first few deals, I would staynlical and gain more experience.  Then you should be prepared to branch out if you feel it necessary.

investorschoicefunding.com....I think it is.  The couple who runs one of the local reias in town owns it I think.  I’ve never used them, but I know that’s an option.

welcome @Carter Doering!  I suggest you visit the local reia’s and network with people in the wholesale trade.  Colin Schwartz has a good one that meets once a month. Good luck!

I’ve never used them but investors choice could be an option.  Www.investorschoicefunding.com.  They’re local and are heavily involved in the local reia.
