@David Chen

Either the client has not found a unit and the stop payment was not done by the specialist or it slipped through the the cracks. Definitely return all the funds and keep a receipt. Once she leases up to a new unit they will review the fee sheet. If the funds are not collected from you it will be pulled from either another tenants account (if you have another on section8) or delay payments once you find another section 8 tenant. These checks maybe delay in process or specialist forgot to put a hold on the account. But will eventually be corrected, please bring it to their attention.

@Andrew B.

If her lease is up and she don't have one with you and notice was given then the next step will be filing eviction. You should submit a copy of notice to housing authority for their records and start your eviction process (at least that is how the housing authority I worked for did their process). She has a voucher already and it may take up to 120 days for her to move.

@Andrew B.

Do you have copies of the notices?

@Andrew B.

At the time of purchase did you start a new lease with tenant and who's collecting HAP payments( hopefully not the old landlord). Let section 8know you are the be landlord, if there is a lease between you and tenant then it is time to file eviction.

Hi guys, I currently live in Tampa and would like to make my first purchase. I don't want anything big, preferably under 100k townhouse. All I can find are small condos (I need space)... Any suggestions???!!!

@Jason Vandermark

Go to the local housing authority and let them know you are not interested. Typically you have to give tenant a notice to move (also provide to housing authority) most common 30-60days. 3 copies, tenant, housing authority and for your records.
