Cool! I read theStreet.com through Yahoo Finance all the time. I hope it brings massive traffic to the site and other mentions from the mainstream media. You deserve it.

Wouldn't cottages be run the same way as any other single family dwelling? Seems so. If that's the case, property managers are very useful if you're not confident that you can handle the job. Is this along the lines of what you want to know?

You can encourage your tenants to do online bill pay direct through their banks or through someone like Yahoo Finance or Paypal. Actually, I know paypal allows automatic payments as well. Seems like the number of possibilities are growing.

Gary, do you think that prices in your area will fall? You sound like you think they will not drop anywhere. What's your take?

OPM = Other People's Money

I think you've got the basics, Lehua. The business is about networking and I think you've got the right idea. If the deal looks good to these people, they are likely to get involved.

From everything I hear, that is one of the most dangerous markets out there. Every developer has something going on down there. I don't have the numbers, but I know that there is a huge amount of speculation in the Florida condo market. Everything I see on TV and read elsewhere says that that market is seriously scary one.

I'd consider going somewhere else to invest.

I got it, but I also think you should show the threads in the pocket so it looks more like a pocket. Otherwise, very cute. I like it better than the little blue roof - all the sites use a roof. Clean it up a bit and it will be great! :mrgreen:

Cville - how often would you call your property owners? Do you call them anytime things go wrong, or do you just not bother them? What do most people prefer?

It is important for every property owner to know how much someone is going to charge them. The only people I've met who don't care are either the super rich, or stupid folks who have no idea what's going on with their finances. How on earth can you dump a potential client who wants to be informed?

It seems like you don't want to work with your owners. People have the right to second guess you, especially since you're in charge of their largest investment. I'm not sure that you have the best attitude towards landlords. In the service business you need to cater to your clients. How on earth did you survive in the business for 20+ years with that attitude?

You've just blown my mind. :goofy:
