I've been seeing this phrase on the posts of certain people and in blogs around the internet. It feels like some kind of catch phrase.

My first inclination is to think that it comes from those Nouveau Riche people.

Am I right?

What's the deal with this? Anyone?

I'm with David here. The sites you mention can all be handy tools, but to find an accurate valuation of what a property is worth, you'll need to do some work or have someone do it for you. It is a learned skill to determine the value of a property and many people who do it for a living still do it wrong.

I would never go on what any of the websites say alone. You're just asking for problems. Get out there and learn to do a CMA or hire a trained appraiser to do it for you.

Before anyone comes in and argues with me, saying that these programs are accurate, I'd urge you to check the disclaimers on their websites. If they were so confident, they wouldn't be warning people that their sites are merely "starting points" and are "NOT appraisals"

It is great that you have found something that has worked for you, Gary.

I'm a long time member of this site and have seen a lot of testimonials for gurus and others. When they come from first time posters, it turns out that these people are often affiliated with or working for the people they are convincing people to support.

I guess I want to know if you're affiliated with these bootcamps?

Either way, it would be great if you got more involved here on the community. It sounds like you're hugely successful, and I hope that you're willing to share some of that with the rest of us.

What type of investing do you want to do Vince? Your profile doesn't say much about that.

Thanks for bringing in a ray of sunshine, Mike! lol :goofy:

Financial independence for me means being able to do what I want, buy what I want, go where I want, and not have to slave 40 hours a week for "the man".
