Like the other people have said the book was inspiring. It was also an easy read. It did not get in too deep, but it is worth reading to get you kickstarted.

I will give it 9 :mrgreen:s

Thank you John and Toney for helping out here. I've heard of deed restrictions in passing but never really know what they were. Nice job helping the others guys!

Hi Jeff. I hear a little about Rochester NY. Is it ripe for investing? I was there a long time ago and it seemed to be falling apart. Is the city rebounding? I know it is cheap, but that does not always mean you can get great deals. I would like to hear your reasons for looking there if you dont mind. Thank you.

Hi Mark. You inspire me with your business. It is tough getting yourself to start a business and you just did it. Very cool!

You have already started the process to invest by being here. Pick an area of interest, learn it, overcome the fear of doing it, and then go for it. You should do fine. Actually, you should be here inspiring many of us to just do it, right? You did it once with landscaping. Take care.

Hi Adam. Many of the nice people who are members here arrived in a similar manner to the forums. Are you going to be more focused in being a real estate salesperson or investor? I hear it is real tough getting going as a sales guy.

I have been here longer than most. I think I was one of the first 5 or 10 guys on the board and i have learned so much since arriving. You too can learn a ton.

Fill the rest of us in on your adventures getting your license and in getting started in sales. I for one would find it interesting.

As I've learned over time, it seems like the real money can be found in the big deals. Personally, I can't afford even the down payment on any of these, but I'm starting to know a deal when I see one. What does it take to get yourself to start in the big time? By that, I mean, I'll see properties that are great deals, but cost $1 million or so - anyone who looks at the deal should be able to see that it is worthwhile.

I know that logically, the banks should give a loan out for these properties because they too will see the value and income. Is it just a matter of getting the confidence to approach lenders with the deal? Is that all it takes to get into larger deals?

How do I step things up?

Hey Patrick, thanks for your offer. Before I look at your leads, I would like to just browse around at what is available around. Are there any websites out there that carry mobile home listings?

Anyone watch Dirty Jobs with Mike Rowe? I know its a bit off topic, but I saw an interesting episode yesterday. Mike was working with an exterminator who had to remove bees from a house's walls. It was pretty amazing. Those bees are a real pain to get rid of.

Anyone ever see this in person?

I was having allergies and went to the doctor to do some testing. There, I asked whether my allergies mught be coming from mold. He told me that the odds of getting any kind of respiratory problem from mold are so slim. Claims the stories are completely overblown.

Who to believe? The Dr. or the media? Tough choice here. Just thought I'd mention it since we're in the midst of moldy conversation.
