We bet there are many in the gay community who are outraged that the rest want to make "marriage" possible.
They are thinking, "sorry honey, the state says we can't get married, I would if I could" and in the back of the mind is thinking, "great, I don't have to give my partner 1/2 in case it doesnt work out"

What partner gets 1/2 ?

It wouldn't surprise me a bit if the courts overturn a public vote.

My view is to stay away from states with high property taxes like TX, PA. etc. I would stay away from the cold states. If you have a vacant home in the winter months the cost to heat the home just so your pipes don't bust might get pricey. I will never buy in PA again. But that's just me

My best investment is watching were my personal money goes. I am amazed how much I can set back once I stared to keep track. You know stop buying crap you don't need.

The problem now is it just sits in the bank :)

This thread is kind of old I wonder how the gym is working out. Personally the gym as been more of a hobby for me. Seeing results are great. I hired a Personal Trainer and realize that the gym is expensive, food is expensive, supplements are expensive just like anything else you do it's expensive and it's an investment on your body, personality, and how you feel and make people feel around you. Basically I hate wasting money so that motivated me to go or stop. Like others I am to busy with work to go. I have been doing lots of mountain biking and that is expensive :)

Oh and women motivate me, not muscle men.......

Maybe there needs to be a 3rd player or even more.

What the government needs to do is wipe out the boards and executives bank accounts first.

Again the good men and women get a nice mud sandwich.

Having a vacancy in the winter

Tenants that require maintenance done all the time is another. One year property A needed $X amount in repairs then a new tenant moved in and needs X+R+U+C+R+A+Z+Y

The next property I pick up with have the plumbing inspected to a T and Replaced of the hint of damage.

Sometimes when there is a big project my PM will get in a New contractor just to try them out. They usually under bid everyone else by lots just to get their foot in the door with the PM. Saved my skin when a tenant just moved out.

I go to staples, Most cards just end up in a file if they are lucky. Unless you have something on it that is useful. For my business cards I have formulas that are used in the field regularly.

I get my letter heads done at staples.

My next RE cards might be tent cards.

My Realestate postcards are made from staples as well.

The freelancer I just hired pointed me to gotprint.net I'll check them out next time.

This is the way I look at it not sure if it's right or wrong. I put $10k down on a property and I make $1k on it that year thats 10% ROI.

you put $10k on the principle of a property and your monthly payment on the interest goes down $80 a month would that be a 9.6% ROI? I would think so. sure beats having that $10k in the bank.

I am sure others will chime in.

A country does what is necessary to protect it's self and it's self interest. Is it right or wrong? that depends on what side you are on. A country like Georgia that is allies with the United States sure didn't look like one.

remember both sides of the coin. This is a bad deal altogether. The key is not to let it to go farther. The bottom line is that it was a bad decision for both nations. Just the civilians are punished.

I don't know all the details, I don't recall being in a meeting with Mr. President, or Mr. Gates in the past 28 years :D
